Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has refrained from diving much into the topic of Arda Guler when he was asked about the teenager, choosing to claim that the youngster was ready to play. Guler watched the entire 90 minutes from the bench on Sunday evening as Real Madrid registered a comfortable 2-0 win over Girona at the Santiago Bernabeu, with the Turkey ace's future at the club seemingly up in the air as he continues to struggle for game time.

Guler has played 28 games this season, but has been on the pitch for just 967 minutes. Since the turn of the year, Los Blancos have played 16 games, of which Guler was an unused substitute in nine games. He has started only twice in 2025 (both in Copa del Rey), clocking just 291 minutes.
His lack of playing of time has given way to speculation that the youngster in unhappy in the Spanish capital, especially considering that he was truly impressive at the EURO 2024 that preceded the ongoing season.
