Man Utd want to sign Sofyan Amrabat Fenerbahce also make bid for midfielder Fiorentina want to make sale this summer WHAT HAPPENED?

The Fiorentina midfielder spent last season on loan with Manchester United and upon his return to Italy, he has been linked with a permanent move away from the club as he is reportedly not in Raffaele Palladino's plan for the upcoming season. With the Red Devils also struggling to make signings in midfield so far this summer, they are considering bringing the 28-year-old back to Old Trafford next season.

However, while the bosses at Manchester United continue to ponder upon the signing of Amrabat, Turkish publication Fanatik [via Football Italia] has claimed that Fenerbahce has made their second bid for the Moroccan. Luckily for United, though, the new bid is still short of Fiorentina's asking price and the Red Devils will therefore have time to come up with their own bid.

The report has claimed that Fenerbahce and Jose Mourinho are determined to bring the Morocco international to the club and the offer has been raised to €12 million (£10.2m/$13.1m). However, this is still short of La Viola's €15 million (£12.7m/$16.3m) who want to make the sale this summer with his contract set to expire next summer.

WHAT NEXT FOR AMRABAT?

Amrabat has not been included in Fiorentina's preseason tour as they are certain the Moroccan will be sold before the start of the regular season. However, it will remain to be seen where he heads next: England or Turkey.
